Let me just preface this blog post by saying: having three children does not make you a great babysitter....I'm just saying. So first thing we did was have breakfast; his mother handed me some yogurt and a pear and said to just give him the pear and he will eat the whole thing, but to watch for the core because he will throw it down. So I'm thinking, cool she lets him feed himself. I sit him down with his yogurt and let him have at it....big mistake! His shirt is stained within seconds! So I call her and she says "oh no I still feed him the yogurt because he's messy with it", lol....yeah I should have figured, he's only two. Thinking I'm smart I give him a plastic spoon that's bigger than the baby spoon because I'm sure that it will be less messy. It's a little less messy but then I hear crunch crunch, he ate some of the spoon! So now I'm thinking I've stained his clothes, he's ingested plastic what's next? Yes, there is a next! I decide it's time to put my baby down for a nap and take little man outside to play, we had a great time picking tomatoes, blowing bubbles and kicking the ball around. After 45min to an hour it's time to come in have a drink and a snack, so we get rehydrated and I put E in Liam's high chair with a piece of paper and some crayons. At this point one is napping and the other coloring while watching pbs, so I decide to put some laundry away.......I promise I wasn't out of the room for more than a minute and I come back to find E is eating crayons........er a crayon, the yellow one specifically. So yeah, he survived, and we had fun, that's all that matters! Right? I also need to mention that this is one of the most brilliant two yr olds (next to my own at this age of course, hehehe). This guy recognizes all of his letters, numbers, colors and his name!
